I Love you Forever- 7 Dots Studio DT

I'm up on the 7 Dots Studio Blog with this layout created with the Cold Country collection.
It is a different layout  than my usual in terms of theme but read more and I will explain why.

My uncle was just here to visit us from another country. This is where his parents are buried. He took a photo of himself by their headstones in the cemetery and asked me if I could make him a layout that he can frame and hang on his wall.
I took it as a challenge as I wasn't quite sure how I would scrap this photo as the theme is not the easiest to scrap.

I used the Cold Country collection as I knew it was perfect for this photo. I really wanted to combine greys and black to match the photo. I also added a Blue Fern Studios chipboard gate behind the photo for added effect.

I created a stone-like background by stencilling Finnabair Graphite texture paste over Prima's brick stencil. Then I used different grey shaded flowers as accents.
Finally I added some meaningful word stickers from the same 7 Dots Studio Collection.
