Shimmery Art Journaling Page on Black Journal for Artists Live Ustream channel

I created this double art journaling page live on the Artists Live ustream channel.
You can join us every Monday on our channel at 2pm EST, 6pm GMT. We have a rotation of many talented designers. Each week you will learn new techniques and will watch a different artists creating a new and unique project.

Here below is the original project I created for my show on June 20th, 2016
You will also find the video recording below and the new project I created.

This is a shimmery art journaling page on a black paged journal (Dyan Reaveley's). I used lots of different mediums and techniques as she creates this highly textured project.

Don't want to miss a show? Like us on our Facebook page and you will be up to date with all our announcements.

If you did miss a show then you can always catch all our videos on the Artists Live Youtube channel

Here is the video below
The top image is the original spread and the second image is the new spread I made on the show.
I apologize that I did forget one step at the end of the show and it is to splatter some white paint on the background. For that step I used both my Posca white marker and white Alcohol ink.

Here is the second spread. As you can see, It doesn't have the white splatters.
I also used a different title sticker and Blue Fern Studios chipboard pieces as I didn't have the same ones as the original.
The rest of the process is the same.

My Trip to Ecuador- May 28 and 29, 2016

A few weeks ago,
I flew to Quito, Ecuador to teach at the store Novelerias y Manualidades.
I had an amazing time not only teaching but also meeting some wonderful people.
There's a lot of talented students in Ecuador and I feel privilege to have taught them.

Below are some pictures of my teaching experiences. I did tour the country a little bit but those pictures are on my Facebook page.

The day before the event, we gathered up at the store and made some flower  make-n-takes so we could pin onto our aprons.

Dream Big- Art Journaling

Hi everyone,
Here is another art journaling page I doodled on the plane.
Like I mentioned a few days ago, I took my art journal on my last trip so I could doodle on the plane while I was bored.

This one turned out a bit whimsical and very bright.
Its not my greatest accomplishment but its bright and makes me feel good and that's the most important.

As the flowers were almost gigantic, I had to write the sentiment "Dream Big" as it has a double meaning in this case.

Prima script stamp

Gypsy Soul- 7 Dots Studio

Hi everyone,
I've created this glittery layout for the 7 Dots Studio blog using their new collections Homegrown and Fortune Teller.

I really enjoyed creating it and I have a video below to show you how.

I have a video below to show you how I created it Enjoy!!!

I've been in a dreamcatcher mood lately and so a lot of my projects have had this theme. I really wanted to create a dreamcatcher and frame my picture with it. The feathers from the Fortune Teller clear stamp was perfect to create the bottom part of the dreamcatcher.

Just let them flow- Art Journaling

Hi Everyone,
Below is an art journaling page I created on a plane ride during my last teaching trip.
I took my art journal and some markers so I could doodle on the plane.

Before I left, I prepped a few double pages with different colours of  Golden fluid acrylic paints so I could just doodle to my hearts content.
This is the first page I did and I have to say its my favourite.
I don't usually draw faces, and as you can see its pretty amateur. However I'm so happy with her and how she turned out. She's exactly how I imagined her.

The meaning of this page is regarding thoughts in my heads. I have so many thoughts and ideas and I just want to let them flow out of my head and onto my art.
The outward movement of the hair gives it that flow that I wanted.

Listen to the music of the soul--- Artists Live- Art journaling Show

I loved creating this art journaling page yesterday on the Artists Live Ustream Channel.
Its a highly textured double page spread with a lot of meaning for me.

Below is the video recording of my project. Its a live recording so I do talk with the audience.

Don't want to miss a show, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our Ustream Channel

Here are some more closeups so you can see the textured details:

Art for me is like music. It penetrates deep in my soul and makes my soul sing.
It is so expressive that I feel sometimes it wants to shout so loud.
This Art journaling page expresses what I feel, how loud the art/music shouts out of my heart so it can resonate far and loud.
